| Activities for Flood Relief |

| As yet another calamity has struck our country; SOS has started its Flood Relief Programme with full swing. We have aimed to help the affected by sending them food items, medicines and tents. The cost of each food parcel is Rs. 1700/ US $20 for a family of six to eight persons for ten days. The demand is unlimited. Our target is to send 100,000 Ration Packets to the effected areas.
The first consignment of food items has been dispatched on August 21, 2010. Two trucks containing 500 food Packages, representing 80,000 meals have been sent to Mardan in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the other to Dera Ghazi Khan in south Punjab.
The next cycle for another 500 packages is in the process and will be sent within next two days. Another 1,000 packs are on order and this activity will be stepped up as more funding becomes available.
We have also placed order for supply of 2 consignments of drugs to the medical teams of Fatima Memorial Hospital @US $ 1,500 per consignment.
1,000 tents will be handed over to Pakistan Army and that will be delivered in the areas of acute need that is Sindh and Balochistan. 500 of these were handed over to them in Karachi on 23rd August 2010.
