For the children from SOS, the event was a good possibility to meet with children from different places in Lahore and enjoy the day together.

SOS Children's Villages of Pakistan organized the annual walk on the December 3rd, 2006. The walk was attended by Herman Gmeiner School and other prominent schools like Beaconhouse, Cathedral, Chand Bagh, Aitchison College, Lahore Grammar School, Convent of Jesus and Mary and Special Children's School. The walk started from Racecourse Road and concluded at the Governor House, where the children were welcomed by the Governor himself. The children were entertained by a puppet show, the Lucky Irani Circus and a musical group. It was a very vibrant event and the children enjoyed it a lot. The President of SOS Children's Villages of Pakistan and the friends of SOS Children's Villages of Pakistan participated in this walk.

  Governor Gen. Ret. Khalid Maqbool awards certificates to children who collected donations for SOS Hermann Gmeiner School. The girl on the right side collected more than 1 lakh for SOS and won the first prize.
