Eid Festivities and other events in SOS Children's Village Faisalabad...

26th of October, Eid-ul-Fitr, is an occasion to celebrate the priceless pleasures of life. The sweet tradition of greeting one another brings countless joys and cheers. In this regard Eid Millan party was arranged in Serena Hotel. The management of Faisalabad Serena Hotel and the staff members in collaboration with SOS Village organized a very special event – “Eid Millan Party”. This activity was specifically designed for the children of SOS Village. It took place on TAROO – 2nd day of Eid-ul-Fitr, i.e., 26th October, 2006 in Naqqash Hall. Mr. Hamid Qadri, General Manager Faisalabad Serena Hotel, was the proud host of the event. Mr. Tasawwar Hussain Naqvi (Village Director) along with the children and their mothers Youth Home boys were cordially received. Flowers were presented to the guests and they were directed to the decorated hall for Eid celebration.

All the children were enjoying, laughing, clapping and getting amusement what so ever was going on. Magic Show was another twist full of fun and cheers for the children. On the extensive demand of the kids, Mr. Basit sang songs, all the children came up to the stage and danced, holding hands. Mr. Hamid Qadri, Mr. Naqvi and Mr. Qamar-uz-Zaman (RDM – Faisalabad Serena Hotel) sang and danced together with the children to encourage and make them laugh.

All the children joined together around the Eid Cake and Mr. Hamid Qadri, standing right in the middle holded our little village angel to cut the cake.

Apart from that some other events happened in Faisalabad during October.

On 29th October a football match was played between the two teams “Dobo Tex Holland” & SOS Youth Home Children in the Village Premises.

On 31st October, the Inauguration of the Youth Home building was held at the premises of SOS Children Village. The Chief Guest Team comprised of the sponsor members of DOBO TEX Holland & officials of Interloop (Pvt) Ltd Faisalabad. The building was constructed at the cost of 5.5 million rupees. The Village arranged a small function in the community hall in honour of the donor agency’s official from Dobo Tex Holland. They all appreciated the performance of the children.
