SOS Children's Village Quetta
SOS Children's Village Quetta supports 138 orphaned children, both boys, and girls, by providing them with necessities such as food, clothing, shelter, healthcare, and education. In terms of education, these children have the opportunity to study at prestigious educational institutions within the province, including the University of Balochistan (UoB), Sardar Bahadur Khan Women's University (SBKWU), and Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering, and Management Sciences (BUITEMS).
Quetta, located in the Balochistan Province of Pakistan, is the region's largest city and capital. It shares borders with Afghanistan and Iran. Known as the 'Fruit Garden of Pakistan,' Quetta boasts a rich variety of plant and animal life. However, the province itself faces significant challenges, being one of the most deprived areas in the country. Many of its residents, including Afghan refugees, endure extreme poverty daily.
SOS Children's Village and Youth Home
SOS Village consists of 10 operational houses, providing accommodation for 100 children. Each house is supported by a dedicated House Mother whose role is to ensure the well-being and proper care of the children. With its nurturing presence, SOS Village creates a loving and caring home environment for these children.
Additionally, children below the age of 12 reside in the village. Once they reach the age of 12, they are transitioned to the Youth Home, where they receive the necessary support and guidance to become self-sufficient and independent.
